TRC MEETS - Life After The Olympics Was Not What I Expected...
The Running Channel Meets is where we talk to real runners with incredible stories. Each episode we speak with people who inspire us to run, and give our guests an opportunity to tell their stories, often for the first time.
In this episode we chat with Colin Jackson. He's an Olympic silver medalist, two time world champion, and was undefeated at the European Championships for 12 years but that's not why we wanted to talk to him. It was his adjustment to life after athletics and his battles with panic attacks that we felt was a story that people needed to hear.
Topics that we discuss in this episode:
Anxiety
Panic Attacks
The Running Channel Meets was born from The Running Channel podcast. Hosted by Sarah Hartley (amateur runner) and Andy Baddeley (former pro runner) alongside Rick Kelsey (recovering runner), the TRC Podcast is friendly, jargon-free, and the perfect accompaniment to your runs.

Customer Reviews
An amazing community
I’ve been a long time listener and YouTube subscriber to the running channel and have always loved the content. Like most, I’ve not been proactive enough to leave a review. However, after running the London Marathon I met my wife and son at the Running Channel meet up. Andy had already taken the time to speak with them and they had met some of the other team members and all of them are a delight. When I hobbled in I also loved the effort the team had gone to and also found the whole team extremely friendly and welcoming. The community they are building is extremely impressive in addition to the fabulous content. It’s also important that they are all as friendly and enthusiastic as they seem on screen and behind the mic. Thankyou for everything you do. Chris
Fantastic podcast
Informative, funny and inspirational in equal parts, my favourite podcast and I always look forward to new release day. Love the YouTube channel too. Keep it up!
Good but can be hard to follow
I do love the podcast as I find the hosts super engaging and interesting topics but I wish they would stay on track a little more. Sometimes it takes ages to get onto topic and then barely anything is covered which means I come away having learned almost nothing that the title suggested I would. Please keep up the podcasts but try to set more of an agenda and stick to it!
